Today I learned that my sarcasm and off handed comments can be really detrimental to the people I care most about. I've always known it, I just never got it until today. For some reason it finally clicked.
I mean, I knew it before, certain people don't appreciate that type of humor so I don't use it around them. I guess it's mostly with people I feel most comfortable about that I speak that way. I don't even realize what I'm saying most of the time until much after the fact. But it's really not very cool of me. I need to spend much more time encouraging people. That is something I really have to work on.
That and getting to bed on time.
